Male Grooming Journal collects one thing from readers: an email address, and only if you type it into the form yourself. This page says what happens to it. It is written in plain terms rather than as a legal notice, and it describes what the Journal actually does.

What we hold

What we use it for

To tell you when an article changes materially, when UK guidance shifts, or when a new feature lands. That is the whole scope of it, and there is no schedule.

We make no product recommendations, so there is nothing to promote to you: no brands, no products and no affiliate commission. How the Journal is funded, sourced and corrected is set out in full in the editorial policy.

Who it is shared with

Nobody. Your address is not sold, rented, swapped, published or passed to a brand, a retailer, a clinic, a barber or an advertiser. It is not uploaded to any advertising platform and it is not used to build a lookalike or custom audience. The only parties that ever touch it are the hosting and email providers that store and deliver the list on our behalf, and they may not use it for anything of their own.

How long we keep it

For as long as you want the updates. When you stop them the record is deleted rather than flagged as unsubscribed, so there is nothing left to reactivate later. If you have never opened an email from us in two years we remove you without being asked.

How to have it removed

Every email we send carries a link to stop the updates, and that is enough. You can also tell us through the contact page and we will delete the address, or tell you what we hold against it, by hand. You do not have to give a reason and we will not ask for one.

Cookies and tracking

We set no advertising or tracking cookies and we run no advertising pixel. If that changes, this page changes with it before the change goes live.

Children

This Journal is written for adults. The updates are not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly keep an address belonging to a child. If you believe we hold one, write through the contact page and we will delete it.

Changes to this page

If what we do with an address changes, this page is updated and the date here changes with it. This version is dated 3 October 2026.

Who publishes the Journal, and how to reach a person, are on the publisher page and the contact page.
