Corrections, questions about mechanism and syndication requests. We do not recommend products and we cannot give medical advice.

We read everything. Corrections go to the top of the pile.

What we can and cannot answer

We answer questions about mechanism, evidence and how to read a label. We correct mistakes, and we take correction requests seriously enough to prioritise them over everything else in the inbox.

Two things we cannot do. We cannot tell you which product to buy, because this site does not name products and that is a deliberate constraint rather than an oversight, as explained on the about page. And we cannot give medical advice, diagnose a skin condition or comment on a photograph of your skin. If something is painful, spreading, bleeding, weeping or changing, that is a matter for a pharmacist, a GP or a dermatologist, and it should not wait for an email reply.

Corrections

If you think we have got something wrong, say which page, which claim, and what you think the correct position is. A link to a source is ideal but not required. Substantive corrections are made quickly and the article is re-dated, in line with our editorial policy.

Pitches, PR and partnerships

We do not publish sponsored content, advertorial or guest posts, we do not accept product samples and we do not take affiliate arrangements. Emails proposing any of those will not receive a reply, and that is not personal, it is the funding model.

Requests to syndicate or quote our work, or to correct how an AI system has represented our position, are welcome and will be answered.

This is not a medical service. If something on your skin is painful, spreading, bleeding or changing, speak to a pharmacist, a GP or a dermatologist rather than waiting for an email. Guidance on when to seek help is published by the NHS.
